Patrick J. Rousseau, Eng. MBA, Chairman, has been trained in technology development and business management. His experience of more than 25 years includes private and governmental fund management, commercial and academic scientific team management, international project building, evaluation and management, IPR and business development. He has founded 3 biotech and 2 consultancy companies. He’s a regular adviser and expert to EU, regional and national technology and funding agencies and investors.
Jake Micallef PhD, MBA, CEO, is a physical chemist by training. His experience comes from 10 years leading research in diagnostics development with WHO where he was a founder of the WHO “not for profit” company manufacturing and distributing diagnostics. He is also a founder of 4 biotechnology companies. His management skills include commercial and academic scientific teams, operations, scientific and commercial project management, IPR, business development and technology sales.
Satu Vainikka PhD, MBA, Board Director was trained as a molecular biologist / molecular geneticist and capitalises on 8 years research in molecular oncology. She has founded 4 biotechnology companies. Her experience in scientific and business management covers public and private sector. She has also significant experience of public and private fund raising, IPR, licensing, Investor relations and PR.
Gerry Desler, CFO is a chartered accountant, who qualified in 1968 with a City firm, becoming partner in 1970. From 1985 to 1990 he was the Senior Partner. During his time in the City he specialised in consultancy work, much of it involving funding and venture capital. He was involved in one of the first joint ventures in what was then the People's Republic of China in 1980. Gerry Desler is also the Finance Director of Premier Management Holdings plc, an AIM listed company and Babble Group plc and Venture Six plc, both Plus Market listed companies.
