News

2023 is proving to be a busy year for ValiRx, and our events schedule is no different, with the team attending events up and down the country to spread the word about our new subsidiary company, Inaphaea BioLabs, meet potential project partners, and network with fellow life sciences professionals.

2023 events

First up on ValiRx’s 2023 events calendar was BioEurope Spring which took place in Switzerland from 20 to 22 March and saw our Head of Strategic Development, Dr Andrew Carnegie, and Corporate Development Manager Mark Treharne connect with both innovative start-ups and global pharma companies and gain valuable insights into upcoming industry trends.

ValiRx CEO Dr Suzy Dilly was at Charnwood Campus in Loughborough on 18 April for the BioNow Empowering Women in Biotech event, where she spoke on the Female Powerhouse Establishment panel. The networking event brought together women working in biotech and the life sciences across the country and featured talks from a number of inspiring female leaders.

The event was closely followed by the Denmark Life Sciences Forum on 19 April, organised by One Nucleus. Attended by Dr Andrew Carnegie, this event provided the opportunity to meet potential new project partners whilst learning about the latest developments in Denmark and the UK. Andrew also attended BioWednesday on the same day, which consisted of a panel discussion with industry leaders in Cambridge.

Dr Suzy Dilly, Mark Treharne, Dr Andrew Carnegie, and Preclinical Project Manager, Zai Ahmad, all attended BioTrinity in London on 25 April. Inaphaea BioLabs was a proud Bronze sponsor at the event with our stand providing us with a fantastic opportunity to officially launch our partnership with Physiomics as well as our brand-new website.

The ValiRx events schedule is showing no signs of slowing down as we approach the summer, with Andrew having attended both the BioTechGate Digital Partnering virtual event and the One Nucleus BioWednesday event last week, and Bio Integrates this week.

Dr Andrew Carnegie said: “It has been fantastic to meet and network with so many interesting companies and organisations at industry events so far this year and most importantly, share our exciting plans for Inaphaea BioLabs. I believe that in-person events are now more important than ever within the biotechnology and research space. Indeed, the majority of the businesses that I have lasting connections with are ones I have met at events and conferences. I am looking forward to engaging with more colleagues from across the life sciences sector at our next batch of events this month.”

You can find Andrew and the ValiRx team at these upcoming events:
